Daily Prayer
The Word for wisdom:
Proverbs 22:11 (HCSB)
The one who loves a pure heart and gracious lips—the king is his friend.
The Word for inspiration:
Psalm 126:1-6 (HCSB)
1 When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream. 2 Our mouths were filled with laughter then, and our tongues with shouts of joy. Then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.” 3 The Lord had done great things for us; we were joyful. 4 Restore our fortunes, Lord, like watercourses in the Negev. 5 Those who sow in tears will reap with shouts of joy. 6 Though one goes along weeping, carrying the bag of seed, he will surely come back with shouts of joy, carrying his sheaves.
My observation:
This is a song of celebration by the people of God. When you know the God of the bible, and receive in your heart the Savior, you too have something to celebrate. If Jesus, God’s only begotten son, has delivered you, you have something to thank God for.
The God of the bible has a compassionate heart for people. His loves permeates the pages of the bible from Genesis to Revelation.
Those who the Savior saves he also blesses. However, God blesses us in order that we might be a blessing to others.
Psalm 126:5-6 (HCSB)
5 Those who sow in tears will reap with shouts of joy. 6 Though one goes along weeping, carrying the bag of seed, he will surely come back with shouts of joy, carrying his sheaves.
My prayer:
Father God, my dear Father, I praise and thank you that I am a recipient of your love, grace, and mercy. Lord, I pray that I will be a faithful servant in the fields that are white unto harvest by going, weeping, sowing, and reaping.
