What Shall We Render to the Lord for His Lovingkindness and Tender Mercies?

God Speaks:

Romans 11:33 King James Version (KJV)

33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

King James Version (KJV)

Listen to God Speak & Obey:

O how God loves all of His people; Jews and Gentiles. Notice the conclusion of the matter in the last verse of the following quotation of the Old Testament.

Romans 9:25-29 New King James Version (NKJV)

25 As He says also in Hosea:

“I will call them My people, who were not My people,
And her beloved, who was not beloved.”

26

“And it shall come to pass in the place where it was said to them,
‘You are not My people,’
There they shall be called sons of the living God.”

27 Isaiah also cries out concerning Israel:

“Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea,
The remnant will be saved.

28

For [a]He will finish the work and cut it short in righteousness,
Because the Lord will make a short work upon the earth.”

29 And as Isaiah said before:

“Unless the Lord of [b]Sabaoth had left us a seed,
We would have become like Sodom,
And we would have been made like Gomorrah.”

How will you respond to the encouragement of the Apostle Paul?

Romans 12:1 New King James Version (NKJV)

Living Sacrifices to God

12 I beseech[a] you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your [b]reasonable service.

Prayer:

Father, hallowed be Your name. Father, we are so grateful for Your unfailing love for Your people.

Father, in humble submission and obedience to Your will and Your way, we offer up to You the sacrifices of praise and thanksgiving. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.

How to Live Guilt Free?

Text:

1 John 1:9 (HCSB)

9  If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Observation:

Today’s focal text is the favorite verse of one of my dear friends. There is great value in being able to remove from our lives the guilt associated with past or present sins.

This is especially significant when we realize that the price for our sins has already been paid in full by our Lord and Savior Jesus the Messiah of God.

2 Corinthians 5:21 (HCSB)

21  He made the One who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

This is indeed goodnews; the amazing grace of God, who in the person of Jesus exchanged our sins for His righteousness.

Those who are recipients of this amazing grace gift have been given the privilege of sharing this goodnews.

Matthew 28:19-20 (HCSB)

19  Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

20  teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Do you know that if you are a recipient of this grace gift provided by Jesus; that if Christ lives in you, then you are an ambassador for Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:19-21 (HCSB)

19  That is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed the message of reconciliation to us.

20  Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, certain that God is appealing through us. We plead on Christ’s behalf, “Be reconciled to God.”

21  He made the One who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Are you telling the goodnews that Jesus saves?

Romans 10:13 (KJV)

13  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Prayer:

Father, hallowed be Your name. Father, thank You for sending Jesus into the world to become our sin bearer.

John 3:16 (KJV)

16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Father, I am so glad that I can say with the saints of the ages, “Jesus loves me this I know, for the bible tells me so”. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

Isaiah 55:11 (KJV)
11  So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

How to Open the Eyes of Our Heart?

Text:

Ephesians 1:15-19 (HCSB)

15  This is why, since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,

16  I never stop giving thanks for you as I remember you in my prayers.

17  ?I pray? that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, would give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.

18  ?I pray? that the perception of your mind may be enlightened so you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the glorious riches of His inheritance among the saints,

19  and what is the immeasurable greatness of His power to us who believe, according to the working of His vast strength.

Observation:

The Word of God tells us that our heart and mind can be open through the power of the prayers of God’s people.

Ephesians 1:18 (KJV)

18  The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

The lyrics of the song by Michale W. Smith speaks into my heart as I think, and pray for this to be a reality in my life.

“Open the eyes of my heart, Lord

Open the eyes of my heart

I want to see You

I want to see You

To see You high and lifted up

Shinin’ in the light of Your glory

Pour out Your power and love

As we sing holy, holy, holy.”

Are you willing to pray to our heavenly Father, and ask Him to open the eyes of your heart so that you might see Jesus seated in the throne room of heaven at the Father’s right hand?

If you are, if you ask Him, He will pour out of His heart, and into your heart, an abundance of His love, forgiveness, and grace. Then, you can pour that love into the lives of the people that God brings into your space.

Prayer:

Father, I adore You, and I exalt Your name. Father, there is none like You. Father, shine upon Your people, and bless us so that we can be a blessing to others. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

Isaiah 55:11 (KJV)
11  So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Where Can I Go to Get All of My Needs Met?

Text:

Mark 10:27 (HCSB)

27  Looking at them, Jesus said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God, because all things are possible with God.”

Observation:

I was reading my Daily Bible Reading Plan for 2016, and the focal verse leaped off the page, and into my heart.

Some people may think it strange that God speaks to His children, but I’m not one of those people. I am learning to open the eyes and ears of my heart, and when I do I am able to hear God’s voice speaking into my heart.

God speaks to us through His Word. Here is what I heard Him say to me in my daily reading.

Exodus 7:1 (HCSB)

1  The LORD answered Moses, “See, I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and Aaron your brother will be your prophet.

God delights to have a conversation with His children, and He has provided the vehicles of prayer, and the Word of God for His people to communicate and connect with Him.

Why not call God today? Consider this verse from God’s Word as His personal invitation to you.

Jeremiah 33:3 (HCSB)

3  Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and incomprehensible things you do not know.

My soul is singing this hymn written by the late gospel singer and writer, Roberta Martin.

“God is still on the throne,

Within your bosom, you have a phone.

Where’er you walk,

you’re not walking alone,

For God, is still on the throne.”

Let’s talk to the Lord; He can meet all of our needs.

Prayer:

Father, I thank You that the children of God never have to walk through this world alone.

Father, I am so glad that I can call upon You anytime, anywhere, and for any need or desire I have in my heart.

Father, I can rest in and rely upon the promise that nothing is too difficult for You. Lord we need You, and thank You Father, that we have all of You living in our hearts. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

Isaiah 55:11 (KJV)
11  So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
