The Secret Has Been Revealed

Text:

Psalm 25:14 (HCSB)

14  The secret counsel of the LORD is for those who fear Him, and He reveals His covenant to them.

Observation:

The people who walked closely and most frequently with Jesus when He walked the face of the earth saw something in Him that they valued most, and that is the thing they asked Him to teach them.

Luke 11:1 (KJV)

1  And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.

The most effective way we can live the overcoming life in the world is to live like Jesus lived when He was in the world, and took upon himself human flesh. What did He do?

John 5:30 (HCSB)

30  “I can do nothing on My own. I judge only as I hear, and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

How then will you live your life? Will you do like Jesus, and take everything to God in prayer?

This is my favorite song that encourages and energizes my prayer life.

“What a friend we have in Jesus,

All our sins and griefs to bear!

What a privilege to carry

Everything to God in prayer!

Oh, what peace we often forfeit,

Oh, what needless pain we bear,

All because we do not carry

Everything to God in prayer!”

Prayer:

Father, hallowed be your name. Father, teach me how to pray. Father, protect my mind, and open my heart to know when to listen, and when to speak; when to wait, and when to go.

Father, help us to see that it is in the solitude of being in Your presence that we get the strength to do Your will.

Father, what I want for myself, and what I pray for others is that Your will be done in us on earth, as it is in heaven. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

Isaiah 55:11 (KJV)
11  So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Do You Need A New Perspective on Life?

Text:

Psalm 34:17 (HCSB)

17  The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, and delivers them from all their troubles.

Observation:

Today I have three things that are on my heart. So, I asked the Lord to lift me up to a higher place so that I could gain a better perspective of the battleground that is this present world.

I want to share with you today the clarity I received from the viewpoint of heaven. These are the three things I saw from being lifted to higher ground.

  1. The Will of God
  2. The Way of God
  3. The Wisdom of God

I saw that these three things are found in Jesus. The Spirit of God helped me as I walked through the Word of God to see clearly how to order my life to walk in victory.

Jesus, himself, said this

John 14:6 (HCSB)

6  Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

The bible says that Jesus is the wisdom of God; in Him we find all that we need; the above three things, and everything we need.

1 Corinthians 1:30 (HCSB)

30  But ?it is? from Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became God-given wisdom for us—?our? righteousness, sanctification, and redemption,

1 Corinthians 1:24 (HCSB)

24  Yet to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is God’s power and God’s wisdom,

Oh, how blessed we are, the people of God, to have a Father who loves us so dearly, and blesses us so abundantly.

Psalm 145:19 (HCSB)

19  He fulfills the desires of those who fear Him; He hears their cry for help and saves them.

Let’s have a little talk with the Father in heaven, and listen to His loving heart, and hear His gentle voice speak into our lives.

Prayer:

Father God, Lord of heaven above, and the earth below; we your people come and bow our knees, and lift our voices in praise and adoration of Your most holy and righteous name. Father, we give you glory, and the honor that You alone deserve.

Father, we thank You for being a God who hears, and answers the prayers of Your people. We say a hearty thank You for all of our blessings; make us a blessing to others in Your name. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.

Isaiah 55:11 (KJV)
11  So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
